How to use this calculator

Enter a starting balance, a daily growth rate, and a number of days. The calculator compounds each day's growth onto the running balance from the day before — so a consistent daily rate produces a curve, not a straight line, because later days are growing a larger balance than earlier days.

The formula, worked example

$500 starting balance, 5% daily growth, 3 days

  1. Day 1: $500 + (5% × $500) = $500 + $25 = $525
  2. Day 2: $525 + (5% × $525) = $525 + $26.25 = $551.25
  3. Day 3: $551.25 + (5% × $551.25) = $551.25 + $27.56 = $578.81

Each day's growth is calculated on the previous day's ending balance, not the original starting balance — that's what makes it compounding rather than simple growth.

Why risk per trade matters here too

A compounding projection assumes the growth rate holds every single day. Real trading doesn't work that way — losing trades happen, and how much you risk per trade determines how much a losing streak sets the projection back. More Than Money Academy teaches risking 1%-2% of your account per trade maximum, and never risking more than you can afford to lose, specifically because a large loss does more damage to a compounding balance than an equivalent win adds back.

This is a projection, not a promise. It assumes consistent daily performance and does not account for drawdowns, variable returns, prop-firm profit splits, or fees. Actual trading results will vary.
